| About APEC Sponsorships |
APEC has developed sponsorship policy guidelines to assist APEC economies and fora to effectively manage the negotiation of sponsorship from corporate entities and other appropriate organisations, which provide benefits to the APEC forum, support the integrity of the APEC identity and its values, and help APEC to achieve its goals and objectives. The APEC sponsorship policy guidelines are intended to apply to small scale in-kind sponsorship through to full scale corporate sponsorship programmes.
The sponsorship guidelines are designed to ensure that sponsorship programmes and arrangements support APEC's key mission and objectives and enhance the public image of APEC, however, some flexibility in their application is expected given the diverse nature and range of sponsorship opportunities within APEC.

| CLASP Sponsorship |
In April 2004, APEC entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Collaborative Labeling and Appliance Standards Program (CLASP) The sponsorship has resulted in upgrading of the APEC ESIS web site programming; expansion of useful data available and accessible on the site; and enhanced ongoing operation of the web site for the benefit of APEC economies. Specifically, the CLASP sponsorship has enhanced APEC ESIS by adding the ability for APEC member economies to access data and information from an additional 23 non-APEC economies through the Global Standards and Labeling Database.
